Recognized as the most discriminating myeloid lineage marker. Positive results aid in the classification of neoplastic tissue (i.e. myeloblasts and immature myeloid cells of acute myelogenous leukemias, progranulocytic leukemia, monomyelocytic leukemia, erythroleukemia, and myeloblastoma). Positive reactions exclude lymphoblastic leukemia and malignant lymphoma. |
