Steven Hardee, M.D.


Dr. Hardee joined YPMG in 2023. He completed his undergraduate in Microbiology at the University of California, Santa Barbara and obtained his medical degree in 2006 at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York followed by his Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Residency at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven Connecticut. Dr. Hardee then completed his Pediatric Pathology Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine, Texas Children’s Hospital as well as his Hematopathology Fellowship Yale School of Medicine, Yale New Haven Hospital. He is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology with subspecialty board certifications in Hematopathology and Pediatric Pathology.

Dr. Hardee has a passion for hematopathology as it bridges anatomic and clinical pathology and the usual diagnostic work-up requires integration of multiple techniques like immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry and molecular cytogenetics. He also enjoys pediatric pathology due to the challenge of patient population unique neoplasms and clinical problems not found in the adult population. Dr. Hardee is originally from the East Bay Area and is excited to be back in California closer to friends and family. His first job in pathology was in Fresno, he is no stranger to the central valley and looking forward to serving the area again with YPMG.
