Dana Haydel, M.D.

Dr. Haydel joined YPMG in 2025. She attended Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans, Louisiana completing her undergraduate degree majoring in Biology Pre-Med followed by her Master of Science in Human Genetics at Tulane University of Louisiana. Dr. Haydel obtained her medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina followed by her Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency at University of California Irvine in Orange, California. She then completed for pediatric pathology fellowship and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and dermatopathology fellowship at University of California Los Angeles under the direction of Scott Binder. Dr. Haydel is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.

Dr. Haydel has been practicing pathology for 13 years, in her free time she enjoys caring for animals through stewardship and rescue efforts.
